Today, the whole post will be about different 25 gluten-free flax seed muffins recipes. Not only do flax seeds taste good, they are super-healthy for us and all these muffins are gluten-free! Three for one! Anyone will love all of these gluten-free recipes, even if you don’t stick to a gluten-free diet. These recipes are so tasty anyone will want to gobble them up. Just don’t tell them they are healthy.
And for those of you who don’t know about flax seed, it is basically the mighty mouse of the grains family (All its cousins are super jealous… except technically it isn’t a grain.) Although this seed has basically the same vitamins and minerals as a grain, it has WAY more anti-oxidants, omega 3 fatty-acids and fiber than a grain does.
Flax seed is also very low on carbohydrates which makes it nice for people who want to avoid starches and sugars and is high in fiber (didn’t I already say that?), which makes this the double punch for people who want to lose weight.
If you don’t know already, you need to make sure to always either grind or sprout your flax seeds before using them, or you don’t get all the benefits. My husband actually eats straight, raw flax seeds by grinding them in this and then putting it in water and drinking it. I don’t recommend that. But, the thing is when you cook the flax seeds, most of the nutrition goes out of them. So I try to make sure to eat some raw and some cooked flax seeds
These recipes are some of the best flax seed muffins. Some are made with gluten-free alternative flours and others don’t have any flour in them at all. When a muffin doesn’t have any kind of flour in it, the base ingredient is usually bananas or possibly dates.
